Diablo Belgium Beer Kit – the result

Brewferm Diablo Beer Kit packaging9 weeks ago I bottled the Brewferm Beer kit Diablo, this is the result.  The head is good and the colour looks darker than the picture on the Brewferm website.

The taste is however, very good and compares to commercial strong Belgium beers such as Duval. It certainly tastes strong, at least the 8.5% it is meant to be and would definitly do the kit again.

  1. It took 2 weeks to ferment, the final gravity wasn’t near the figure on the instructions but I bottled it anyway and it’s turned out really well. It had about 8 weeks of secondary fermentation in the bottles. the longer the better.

  2. Did you use any special sugar such as Candi Sugar or just standard brewing sugar? I just orderd 3 of these kits

  3. Hi,

I just used standard brewing sugar and it turned out really well. Had a bottle of Diablo last night, 3 months on from bottling it and it’s certainly getting better with time. At the weekend I bottled a batch of Brewferm Triple, I used candi sugar with that kit, but this is the first time I have used candi sugar.

  4. Cheers for the information. Im going to start a batch at weekend using 2 of the kits. I orderd some white Candi Sugar today and am thinking about getting a cornelius keg setup. That way i wont have to clean loads of bottles and I can just leave it in the keg to mature. I will let you know how I get on.

    All the best

    Chris
